UST-SIMBAHAYAN Community Development Office
Overview
Effective July 1, 2012, the UST Simbahayan 400 and the Office for Community Development (OCD) were joined together as one office and is now being called as UST-SIMBAHAYAN Community Development Office.
It can be recalled that the UST Simbahayan 400 was the centerpiece project during the Quadricentennial celebrations of the University formerly under the Rector's Office while the OCD was established on October 2001 under the Vice-Rector for Religious Affairs.
The UST-SIMBAHAYAN Community Development Office is tasked to develop, implement, and manage the University Community Development Program (UCDP) towards the University's mission of the production, advancement, and transmission of knowledge for the formation of competent and compassionate Thomasian professionals, committed to the service of the Church, the home, and the nation.
Directly under the Vice-Rector for Religious Affairs, it now covers College/Faculty-based student organizations' projects; University-wide student organizations' projects; Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) sections of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), and Alumni-proposed projects.
